Turning 34

I had a great birthday this year. 34 is looking good so far. I hope to learn a lot this year and spend lots of time with my family and friends.

Sister's Retreat

I hope this is a yearly trip. This retreat was a truly uplifting, spiritually fulfilling weekend.

Kids and Eggs

The cousins got together to hunt eggs again this year. We are blessed to live close to our family.

Spring Break 2008

I am catching up on my blogging today. Some of the cousins, Jake and Gracie, got to spend a few days with us over Spring Break. The kids had fun.

Snow in March

We finally get some snow last week, on Tuesday and Friday. The kids loved it. It was a wet sticky snow, good for snowballs and very small snowmen.

I can SEE!

I am so thankful to God that my vision has been corrected. I waited a long time for this day and I am glad it is over and everything turned out so well. My vision gets better each hour. Wow!

The One You Feed

This is cool and closely relates to Galatians Chapter 5.

An elderly Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them: "A fight is going on inside me, it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One wolf is evil - he is fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, competition, superiority and ego. The other is good - he is joy, peace, love hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person, too." They thought about it for a minute, and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win, Grandfather?" The Elder simply replied, "The one you feed."
