Boy Trap

Lillian and Eden were over playing with Stella the other day and they had a good time making this contraption. When I asked, "What is it?" "A Trap to catch the boys" was the answer I was given by Lilli and Stella. Stella found this great white rope on our walk the other day and drug it all the way home. "What is the rope for Stella?" I asked her. "To tie up the mean boys, Mama" she said very matter of factly. Of course, what else?

Long Run

Marria and I completed the longest run yet in the training program this morning. It took us about an hour and 45 minutes. We ran over 8 miles. The weather was great. I had to stop and walk up some of the hills, but Marria kept right on running. An Ipod full of great music and God's creation all around is really all you need to run 8 miles. My goal is to complete a 1/2 marathon on March 2nd. We will see!!

Why do people lie?

This question has been on my mind today. It is so frustrating when someone who claims to love you can not tell you the simple truth. Why would someone lie so much that you begin to doubt every word that comes out of their mouth? Why? Is the truth that hard to tell?

Thanksgiving

This was a very busy day, good food and family fun! Thanks to Denise and Ronnie for giving us a place to stay that night.

Heifer Ranch

What a lovely day to visit the Heifer Ranch and see some animals. Stella loved it! Thanks Anna for the invite. It is not every day that you get kissed by a camel (not the one in the picture - she had no slober) AND spooked by a turkey.

Friends at the Beach

I think the most beautiful time of year at the beach is November. We had a blast!

A Break

Randy is such a hard working man. He definately needed this break at the Beach. We made our way back to East of the Sun/West of the Moon house in Sea Grove, FL. One of the most relaxing places on earth.

Questions

I must write this down before I forget. Stella and I take a walk around the lake about once or twice a week. On Monday, while we were walking around the lake, Stella says "Mama, I did not know that the trees changed colors". She said this with really wide eyes and a huge smile, it was great. Her comment started a discussion about how creative God is and what a wonderful job he does everyday. I am so thankful that I get to enjoy God's creation with my daughter on a crisp, cool Fall morning.

Levi is a smart boy. He had a good first nine weeks and made all A's on his report card. So, the day that he brought his report card home, I made the comment "I am so proud of you, you made straight A's". He looked at me with a perplexed look on his face and said, "Mama, what does a crooked A look like?" Does anyone know the answer to that?

I am so thankful to God for the two biggest blessings of my life, Levi and Stella.
